Acrylic Professional Greenhouse, 40 Series 16'L
You asked for it, we did it. We took this same greenhouse and replaced the polycarbonate side panels with clear acrylic panels. This durable greenhouse is great as environment control as the plastic glazed side panels expand and contract according to the temperature. The barn style design provides more growing space than a traditional 'A' Frame greenhouse. Designed for the gardening enthusiast, the Rion family of greenhouses offers extra space for both grower and plants.
Features include lockable hinged doors and adjustable polycarbonate roof windows for maximum insulation. The double sidewalls have a total thickness of 4mm. The clear side panels, in safety acrylic for improved visibility, are fully insulated for one of the highest heat retention rates of all glazes. Polycarbonate roofs are used for sunlight diffusion. This greenhouse is 4 panels wide (including 2 doors) and comes in a green frame finish. Comes standard with 2 roof windows.
Optional Base for the 40 Series Greenhouse
These hollow bases anchor Rion greenhouses to the ground by filling the base with soil or concrete. They are made to fit each Rion greenhouse perfectly, and all fittings needed for assembly are included.
Optional Additional Roof Window with adjusting lever
This set comes with 2 windows for increased air circulation. For the 12' greenhouse, 1 more roof window is recommended to increase air circulation.
Optional Automatic Roof Window Opener
Automatically opens and closes Roof Vent when temperature changes. The opener has a metal cylinder containing a mineral, which expands when heated. This pushes a piston that opens the vent. As the temperature cools, the mineral shrinks and a spring closes the vent and resets the piston. The opening and closing of the vent is gradual, allowing just the right amount of airflow for cooling. Two openers are included in this set.
Optional Side Window: Louvre Style
This window replaces a single panel in the back wall for extra ventilation. 2 louvre windows are recommended for the 12' greenhouse.
ShadeNet Kit
This high quality metallized screen has a special anti-oxidation and UV resistant coating knitted into a precise uniform texture. It enables moderation of day and night temperatures, providing a uniform shadow and optimal diffused light transmission. The screen controls air movement and reduces the heat in greenhouses during hot days. It is recommended for temperatures exceeding 95 degrees. It prevents irradiation damage in plants and fruits and is very efficient for energy conservation in the winter. The net is flexible, light, strong, and easy to spread and is recyclable and UV resistant. It includes ropes and hooks, etc. and has 60% reflection and 55% diffused light.
